Dwight Teed Scholarship
Presented by the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association

The Sun Country Amateur Golf Association would like to invite your junior to apply for the Dwight Teed Scholarship.  The scholarship is currently a $6000 award paid in $1500 yearly payments for four years provided the student maintains a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average throughout his or her collegiate career.  Each year, the association awards at least one and often two scholarships to worthy candidates, based on fund reserves.

Established in 1984 by Mr. and Mrs. Max Webb, the Dwight Teed Scholarship Fund honors Mrs. Webb’s father, Mr. Dwight Teed who served on the original Sun Country Board of Directors.  Each year, proceeds from the SCAGA Four Ball Championship go to enhance the fund’s reserves.  Without the support of our many sponsors, we would not be able to continue this fantastic education program.

In order to be considered for the SCAGA scholarship, an applicant must:

1. Be recommended, in writing, by at least three individuals, one of whom must be a Sun Country Amateur Golf Association member.
2. Have completed his or her junior year in high school or at least one year of college and have achieved a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.  Scholarship awards will be paid only with evidence of graduation from high school and enrollment in college, or college transcript.
3. Demonstrate outstanding personal character as evidenced by participation in extracurricular or volunteer activities.
4. Have some connection to golf, i.e., member of Sun Country Junior Tour, a parent who is a member of the SCAGA, employed by a golf course or caddie.  Golfing ability is NOT a criterion for selection.
